The Clubhouse

From a gathering in the dining room to a larger celebration in the ballroom, the clubhouse offers a historic lakeside setting for bringing people together.

The dining room accommodates 60 guests, while the ballroom holds approximately 220 people. Measuring 55 × 48 feet, the ballroom gives you room to plan your event’s layout.

The clubhouse’s table and chair collection gives you a starting point for dining, conversation, and celebration: 22 round 60-inch tables seating up to 10 each, 11 rectangular 6-foot × 30-inch tables, 10 round 32-inch cocktail tables, and 200 white chairs.

As you plan your layout, keep dining room chairs indoors and ballroom tables and chairs within the clubhouse and porch. Please return furnishings to their original locations after your event. The piano remains in place and is not available for use.

Freestanding decorations let you bring your own style to the clubhouse while caring for its historic surroundings. Please plan a setup without tape, nails, staples, confetti, glitter, or decorations on streetlight poles.

Choose flameless decor for your celebration; candles and other event flames are not permitted. Fireworks require prior approval. The clubhouse’s remote-controlled fireplace is available, with continuous use limited to about four hours for safety.

Guest Wi-Fi, decorative porch lighting, and two outdoor electrical outlets in the north-side rock garden help support your event plans.

Hand soap, paper products, and trash bags are provided. Bring your own linens to complete the look of your tables. You’ll find Wi-Fi access details, lighting controls, and other practical tips in the Clubhouse Information document below.

A designated smoking area with an ashtray is located on the west-side concrete patio.

You’ll find us at 100 Lake of The Forest, Bonner Springs, Kansas 66012. Temporary gate access is provided for the renter, setup crews, and event helpers during the rental/wedding week.

Coordinate arrival times with your caterer and DJ, and use your renter’s key to welcome them into the clubhouse. Outside rental golf carts are not permitted for events.

Friday evenings are part of the clubhouse’s community life. Lake Forest Happy Hour begins around 5 p.m. in the downstairs Club Room beneath the dining room and continues into the evening.

If you’re considering a Friday event, plan around this standing residents’ gathering, which retains priority and takes place as usual.

Optional services can take a few tasks off your event checklist: table and chair setup is $100, and wiping down and putting tables and chairs away is $150.

Cleanup is $250 and includes the kitchen floor, counters, and stove surfaces, along with mopping and vacuuming floors throughout the clubhouse. All trash should still be collected and placed inside trash cans or the parking lot bins.

To arrange payment, make checks payable to Amy Hilderbrand and pay in full one week before your event.

Your rental requires $1 million in special event insurance coverage. Start by asking your homeowners insurance provider whether coverage can be extended to the clubhouse; a separate special event endorsement is another option. The name on the insurance policy must match the tenant who signs the Rental Agreement.

The damage deposit is refundable the week after your event when the space is left clean, furnishings are returned, trash is properly disposed of, and all rental criteria are met.
